For warming of arms!
On Tuesday I was so close to finishing the blanket project that I didn't post about it until it was done.
Today I was so close to finishing this project that… what do you know, I put it off until I could post about the completed item.
This is not a habit I should get into, but it's awfully fun when I have a finished project to post about!
So anyway: Here are a pair of epic purple bracers armwarmers, knit for a friend for warming of arms! Before I send them off, I'm going to see if I can get a mana restore enchant on them. The only problem is, I'm not sure Teu ever got that enchant… maybe a Major Stamina enchant would be just as good!
(Love and hearts to my favorite boomkin!)

Lovely! I've been wanting to make myself some (actually, I started, but I was trying some bamboo yarn which I decided I didn't actually like–can't remember why now–so I never finished 'em.). I'll probably finish them by the time summer rolls around! But, yours are grapetastic!
Thanks! :D It didn't occur to me until I'd finished them that they're purple wrist "armor". Epic bracers FTW! :)
Epic bracers indeed! I'd actually been thinking of doing a project like this with some malabrigo I have around… but you've beaten me to it (and these are prettier anyway – the colorway I have is grey with light blue and purple speckles). Totally gorgeous!
Hee! Grey is my favorite color. >_> I've never tried Malabrigo! Is it as awesome as everyone says?
(Sadly, our favorite boomkin has animal-fiber sensitivities, or I would have gone with this cashmere/silk stuff I have stashed! But I'm so, so happy that I found a synthetic that is a joy to work with. I almost wouldn't know it wasn't wool if I hadn't read the label!)
That was my other worry with the Malabrigo – didn't know if she was OK with wool/merino. As it is, though, people are right when they say there is butter that is scratchier than Malabrigo, and it's wonderful to knit with. I lurve it.
Is that the dark horse synthetic stuff? And if so, do you know of a place to get it online?
It is indeed! 50% acrylic/50% nylon — when you were out in Seattle, it's the amazing acrylic I was working with. :) A quick Google search for retailers turns up The Yarn Barn, and there's a list of local retailers on the Dark Horse Website. :)
